  • Check-in for all locations (Inn at Bay Harbor, Lakeside Cottages, and Crooked Tree Cottages) is at the Reception Desk at Inn at Bay Harbor. 

  • Yes, Inn at Bay Harbor, Crooked Tree Cottages, and Lakeside Cottages are non-smoking.



  • Service animals, as defined by the American's With Disabilities Act (ADA) and Michigan service animal legislation are welcome at the Inn and Cottages. 

    Comfort animals, emotional support animals or therapy dogs are not considered service animals under the ADA guidelines. There are several boarding facilities nearby, our concierge staff is happy to find an option to suit the needs of you and your pet. 




  • Rooms and cottages are not guaranteed to be in a specific building or location as most of our units are individually owned.



  • Check-in begins at 4pm, check-out is by 11am.

  • Rollaway beds are available to guests of the Cottages and Inn at Bay Harbor for an additional $25 per bed per night. Arrangements for a rollaway bed can be made with Reception.

  • Yes. When you book your reservation, a deposit is required. If you cancel outside of seven (7) days, you receive a refund minus a $10 administrative fee. If you cancel within seven (7 ) days, the deposit is non refundable. However, we will hold the deposit for one year so you can use it towards another stay.

  • Lift tickets on packages are interchangeable between Boyne Highlands Resort and Boyne Mountain Resort.  Individually purchased lift tickets are valid only at a single resort of your choosing.  

  • Yes, there is 20% discount on lodging for active and retired military with a valid ID.

  • We do not offer a shuttle service between resorts.

  • The outdoor pool, and Cabana Bar are open seasonally weather dependent from May-September only. Every effort is made to ensure the hot tub stays open year-round.  Guests staying at the Inn at Bay Harbor in the winter also have access to outdoor pools at Boyne Highlands' Main Lodge and Boyne Mountain's Clock Tower Lodge.

  • Yes. Guests may use the facilities as if they were guests of our sister resorts, including outdoor pools and public spaces (with the exception of Heather Highlands Inn or Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa) and have other resort charging privileges as well.
