Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month

January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month! Revel in the snow with us and bring your friends and family. Ski and snowboard lessons from BOYNE SnowSports Academy professionals maximize your enjoyment in a safe, friendly environment.

Young Hemingway & His Enduring Eden

Hemingway and literary enthusiasts will enjoy this screening of Starbright Media's doucmentary "Young Hemingway & His Enduring Eden"  at 7:30pm in Petoskey's Carnegie Building. The documentary features the commentary of some of the country's top Hemingway scholars and writers, many of whom were interviewed in Petoskey, Bay View, Horton Bay, and at Windemere, the Hemingway family cottage on Walloon Lake.

Torchlight Snowshoeing

Snowshoe by torchlight first then come in from the cold for a cup of hot chocolate, freshly baked cookies and warm-up by the crackling fire in the beautiful main lodge.

The outing is sponsored by Bearcub Outfitters to promote all Camp Daggett offers children and community. Buy raffle tickets for great Bearcub products with all proceeds going to Camp Daggett. Admission is free, donations are encouraged and snowshoes are available for all ages, 5-9pm.

Walloon Winterfest

The Walloon Winterfest will take place on Saturday, February 3rd and will feature all sorts of fun, family-friendly activities. Bean soup just tastes better outside and the Bean Pot will be bubbling to benefit the Petoskey Snowmobile Club. Sample beer and wine and play games that pay homage to the season!

Winter Carnival

A tradition that you don't want to miss - including Petoskey's famous bump jumping competition and a fun cardboard challenge! Admire ice sculptures displayed on downtown sidewalks and in Pennsylvania Park along with ice skating, retail therapy, a ghost walk and more in Downtown Petoskey and other events at the Petoskey Winter Sports Park.
